Blue Yorkies
Blue yorkies is a term sometimes used to refer to the standard colored Yorkshire Terrier. While yorkies are born black and tan, the black portion of their coat should eventually become a steel blue color, hence the term blue yorkies.
Blue yorkies are a great choice for many pet owners for several reasons. First, blue yorkies can adjust well to almost any type of home. Unlike some larger breeds which need a lot of space or, at least, a fenced yard, blue yorkies are just as content in a studio apartment as in a 3000 square foot home. Their only requirement is warmth. Like many toy breeds, they do get chilled easily. Doggie sweaters and clothing can help somewhat, but they are no substitute for a warm climate or a roaring heater.
Another reason for the popularity of blue yorkies is that they don't require a lot of exercise. While some dogs require daily walks, blue yorkies are happy running back and forth in a game of fetch in the living room. Some owners even train their blue yorkies to use doggie litter boxes so they don't even have to go outside to use the bathroom.
Blue yorkies have also become popular because they shed very little. Some don't shed at all. That means blue yorkies are a great choice for people who love dogs but who are allergic to them. While the animal hair itself does not cause allergic reactions in people, the skin flakes (known as dander) which fall off with the hair are considered allergens. However, owning blue yorkies may not completely solve the problem. Some people also have a reaction to a dog's saliva, so if you have dog allergies you may want to spend some time with blue yorkies before you decide to bring one home.
Owners also love their blue yorkies' temperaments. Blue yorkies are devoted to their masters and are very affection. Sometimes their devotion can become a problem if they develop separation anxiety, a psychological disorder which causes the dog to become extremely distressed when their owner is not around. This distress can cause damage to your home and can even led blue yorkies to hurt themselves. Blue yorkies' owners can also become overly protective of their pets and, as a result, the dogs can be difficult with strangers and other animals. However, a well-socialized yorkie with some basic obedience training can be a wonderful companion animal.
Among their many assets, the best is the appearance of the blue yorkies. Their small size and cute faces make them irresistible to most dog lovers. They always receive attention no matter where they go with their owners, so be prepared to be stopped by fawning fans if you choose to bring home some blue yorkies.
